At Cambridge Commodities we are dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality nutritional ingredients to make the best possible products. This mission starts by ensuring that high standards are met at every step of the supply chain.
Suppliers must complete a verification process consisting of a meticulous questionnaire and thorough sampling of the material before approval. Our technical team, which includes nine trained auditors travel to all parts of the world auditing suppliers to ensure products meet all regulatory and quality requirements.
Every batch that arrives at our warehouse undergoes strict quality testing to assure its integrity. Firstly, two samples are taken in our ISO Class 8 sampling lab and from here they are checked using FTIR analysis and organoleptic testing. These tests are carried out to ensure the quality tolerances are within 95%-98% depending on the material being sampled. Deviations from this are quarantined for further investigation.
Cambridge Commodities holds a variety of quality and industry accreditations including BRC Food 7, Informed-Sport, Organic, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and our clean rooms are ISO Class 8 standard.
The CCL site is an impressive 100,000 sq.ft, designed around core processes and is optimised to enable each department to deliver exceptional customer service. The warehouse is capable of holding 10,000 pallet bays and natural light combined with energy-saving LED sensor-activated bulbs significantly reduces our energy usage.
